E’s Otherwise

The concept and the idea has its moments yet when it comes to the execution, it was nothing more but a dragging experience. Frankly, I can hardly remember any of the names of the characters due to the lack of interest in my part. I sure skipped episodes here and there just to see how the series progressed. Maybe this wasn’t just my cup of tea but somehow, I find the concept wasted on poorly written storyline.

Although it certainly has some of its fun moments like the cross-dressing and island activities, a few favorable sequences are not enough to save the show. The ending was unsatisfying leaving us with a ‘WTF!’ feeling. It didn’t answer most of the questions raised about the ESPers. With an ambitiously complex storylines integrated together considering it was a twenty-six episode deal, they can only do so much in explaining all those vexing clues.

Argh. I am truly disappointed with this series. I only stuck with it till the end to see if there will be an improvement at the end. Of course being a person who loves happy endings, I hated how it was written with an open ending. Sure there was a hint of hope but still one can assume basing on what was given that death was indeed the fate of those who did not came back.

Maybe someday if rewatch the whole series again I might see something I haven’t paid attention to. But for now, I am not recommending anyone to see this. Or if you want to kill time and annoy yourself, go ahead and enjoy.
