Maburaho: Episode 15

Not really a continuation of the ongoing mystery with Akai-sensei but we get to have some character development from my personal favorite, Rin-chan.

Her, sort-of brother-cum-shishio trained her to become a strong swordman. Not without some sacrifices, though. Upon learning that she was to inherit the family dojo, she was forced to train night and day as a kid. The gruelling schedule doesn’t even allow her to make friends. Now, this brother of hers came into town to cause some trouble? Not really. His intention is only to say goodbye and apologize to her before he returns to the moon.

Quite a sad yet sweet episode. Compared to the standards it had set (read: low standards), this one tops my list as one of my fave for this series. A nice break from the cliched goofy stories.
