Peace Maker Kurogane: Episode 20

Damn. The story is definitely going somewhere and it is going in an interesting path. I knew there is something special about this series.
Suzumu opted not to kill the man who ordered a death sentence for his sister (He sure looks too beautiful for a man). Although he decided not to resort to murder, he expressed himself quite violently to that man. It was a good thing that he kept that man alive since we get to see Hijikata-san show a dark and scary side of him. Okay, he is usually like that but multiply it a few times and really menacing character appears. His torturing methods are very brutal and barbaric yet effective nonetheless. I can almost hear the human rights activist waving protest signs when they get to watch his scenes.
While too many things are taking place in the Shinsen-gumi HQ, Tetsu-kun is trapped in an abandoned shack with Yoshida-san and Suzu. Suzu was ordered to kill Tetsu-kun by his sensei however he could not accomplish his mission. Unfortunately, the creepy Yoshida-san is around and is quite adamant to finish off Tetsu-kun. Argh. The end of the episode is a big cliffhanger that I just wanted to throw my TV screen out the window.
I noticed at the very first act how Okita-san was coughing quite a bit. Does this mean the author is going to write Okita-san’s death due to tuberculosis just like the real deal? I’d rather have him alive ’til the end of the series though. I need some happy endings for my animes. I’m just that type of person, dammit.
