1.02 Karma Chameleon
I am definitely sold. Jaye is officially one of my favorite TV characters.
Although I immensely enjoyed Karma Chameleon, at first I was questioning why it had to be the second episode. After a little musing, I realized that this explains the whole slacker type of persona. She has the intelligence and the skills to succeed but for now she in a place in her life where she thinks that it isn’t worth it. The whole generation Y explanation probably hit a nerve to people around my age. I can somehow relate to her attitude.
I am loving the casting in this series. They have chemistry with one another and so far I haven’t seen an awkward scene by anyone. Katie Finneran’s Sharon is totally hilarious. I can see her bailing her sister out in odd situations every so often. Normally, I would be turned off watching their kind of family but one can tell that these people definitely love each other in their own warped way.
When the casting directors chose to hire Tyson Leitso for Eric’s part, they made the right decision. One look at him I knew he is the man I am destined to marry…um, okay maybe not. However, I am intrigued by the easy flirtation between him and Jaye. And the moment Jaye flashes her tiny teasing smile, you know there is something going on there. Hah. Only the second episode and I am shipping already.
Anyway, the screencaps have been uploaded for a while now.
