HxH GI Final: Episode 03

Killua is back from the hunter exam. He, Gon, and Biske spent bulk of the episode collecting more cards and learning on how to use them. Thanks to the months of intensive training collecting cards are so much easier than they expected.

And lest I forget, Hisoka finally appears in Greed Island, much to the Ryodan members’ surprise. He is even listed under Kuroro’s name which alarmed the duo. Killua quickly informed Kurapica of the suspicious situation. Surprisingly, Kurapica is a little too calm when he hears the news. Honestly, I don’t need another York Shin-like arc. It was good but it veered dangerously to a not-so-entertaining direction. I’m probably in the minority who did not enjoyed that part. It was too long and too dark for this series. As much as I like Kurapica, I’d rather have Gon and Killua at the center of the series. They are far more interesting than too much angst.

Gon is still working on his “sure-kill” technique while Killua decided on the weapon he can use with electricity which will be an interesting choice. Just wait and see.

The episode was far too short and I can’t wait to get my hands on this series’ DVDs.
