Konjiki no Gash Bell: Episode 22

Gash and Kiyo-san (including Mizuno) met another friendly demon, Yoppopo, along their journey. This creature utters only a few select unintelligible words i.e. Yoppo poy, toppo poy, suppo po poy. What does it mean? I have no clue, whatsoever.

I was probably too grumpy today to acknowledge the humor of this episode. Yes, Yoppopo is cute and cuddly but I am not moved at all. I suppose my appreciation for cuddliness and cuteness only applies to Gash and Mizuno.

This demon, Yoppopo, has a strange and tiring way of calling out other demons. He dances non-stop and chants strange set of words which is funny the first time you hear it and gets old after five minutes. On top of that irksome chant, his bookkeeper is on the annoying side. Honestly, I want a better reason for revenge. Not that her mother and grandfather’s injuries were useless, but they weren’t dramatic enough to motivate this audience member to root for her and little Yoppopo.

I must be really tired to write quite a negative entry for Konjiki no Gash Bell. Normally, I save my litany for Maburaho.
