Konjiki no Gash Bell: Episode 25

The conclusion of the two-parter battle between Kiyo-san and the free-spirited traveler is a little anticlimactic towards the end. There were no clear winners and they all ended up being friends and what-not. There is nothing wrong with Kiyo-san having friends but it seems that he befriends half of his opponents which doesn’t really make for good TV.

Maybe I am too tired last night when I finally had the chance to watch this episode that’s why I am a little bit critical with my observations. Furthermore, I just finished rewatching a few episodes of Yu Yu Hakusho’s Dark Tournament that Gash’s attacks paled in comparison. It could also be because I was anticipating a more exciting match. Or at least have a surprising twist. The sixth sense ability of the opponent has already been so embarrassingly obvious in the last episode that it wasn’t much of a credit anymore when it came to the final showdown.

Oh, well. Not all episodes in one series can be entertaining, right?
