Gantz: Episode 02

Aliens are present on earth. A secret government agency picked those people in the strange room to search and destroy these creatures. The first mission to kill a certain leek-loving alien was almost a success until it’s kin took revenge on most of them. By the end of the episode, only Kei, Masaru, Nishi, and the girl survived the ordeal. The old politician ignore the rules and tried to go home only to drop dead when he reached a certain distance from the intended mission. The rest were murdered by the enraged green guy.

Kei’s scaredy attitude slowly crumbles as he remembers his fearless personality as a child. There’s hope for him after all. Masaru surprised me with his understanding of alien-speak. Could he be one too? Creepy eight grader guy Nishi proves to be knowledgeable in handling the weaponry and gadgets. What’s his story? The girl, erm, she’s quite useless at this point.

Secret government agencies? Hi-tech weapons? Weird tight-fitting apparel? Leek-loving aliens? I think I’m going to love this series.
