Kono Minikuku Mo Utsukushii Sekai. It’s such a mouthful for a title.

Basically, this guy Takeru and his friend Ryou happened to witness an abnormal ball of light crash somewhere deep into the forest. Instead of using their heads and call authorities, they decided to check the site and found a strange naked girl, Hikari. Out of nowhere a huge centipede-like monster targets Hikari. Ryou’s quick thinking managed to buy them some time. However, the monster was able to follow them and took Hikari but only after injuring both Takeru and Ryou. For some inexplicable reason and to his surprise, the wounded Takeru morphed into a powerful being. First, he took Hikari in relatively safer place before facing the monster. He almost killed it when he realized how violent he has become. The monster, in its pounded state, took off and tracked down Hikari. As it turns out, Hikari isn’t as helpless as she seems. When Takeru and Ryou went to place where Hikari was hiding, a huge relief came over them to see her safe. However, they were also equally puzzled at how the dead monster’s bits and pieces are all over the place.

Amongst the new series I have viewed, this one surprised me the most. I wasn’t expecting monsters and mayhem. I thought it would one of those annoying cutesy series where the alien girl goes ga-ga all over the guy or something to that effect. Well, so far it isn’t. Honestly, even with the shock I received from the episode, I don’t see anything here that would hold my interest. Sure, I’ll watch the next few episodes to see how it goes but I’m not really expecting much.
