Kyou Kara Mao: Episode 02

Kyou Kara Mao may be pegged as a typical bishounen series, or not the most mentally stimulating anime around but it is darn entertaining. The not-so-subtle innuendoes, the Yuri-Wolfram engagement, and the seemingly inappropriate, um, flirtatiousness are all part of the package.

Conrad seems to have the most balance personality among the five male leads. Gwedal comes across as the calm, cool, and mysterious character. Wolfram is probably some sort of prima donna who finds disatisfaction in most things and has a disturbing prejudice towards humans. Gunther is our token long-haired pretty boy who has more than enough affection for his dear Yuri. Yuri, of course, the central figure of the series who awaits his destiny as the current Mao, is outspoken, at times simple minded, has a strong sense of justice, and oddly enough, has a quirky personality.

Hmmm…this will be a fun series to follow this season. Oh, and I finally made time to build a little gallery for Kyou Kara Mao. Each album will have fifty images per episode. I know I shouldn’t be stuck at fifty all the time but I have an unhealthy quirk for uniformity and consistency. That’s why I always publish four caps for each episode I write about. Need to get over it. I’ll also be using the raw images instead of the subbed ones, and again it’s because of this unhealthy OC-ness of mine.
