Sailormoon Live Action: Episode 28

Hmph. The dark!Mercury subplot abruptly reached its conclusion before it was fully utilized. Ami returning to normal so quickly feels like a cop out to me. Wait. What’s the title of this series again? For a minute there, I almost forgot I was watching Sailormoon. It couldn’t be helped. At least there were a lot of things going on in this series so I’ll let it slide. Also, there’s this intriguing action by Nephrite (or was his name Jadeite?) where he saved Ami from Kunzeite’s sword. Nice twist.

The last image on the end of the episode shown Usagi, Rei, Mako, and Ami in a group hug while Minako standing alone far away from them. Although she is glad to find Ami fighting for the good side once again, she remains on the outside looking in. She still avoids to be intimate with these people she’s starting to care about. I suppose the addition of her illness is another example of a positive addition to the script.

Now that Ami is back to normal, I mourn for the cute black attire she wore that I’d probably never see again Too bad, they look great on her.

I usually skip the OP sequences but for some reason I watched it for this episode. Mamuro is definitely MIA from the video and I’m worried. Is he going to stay in London for a bit of time before we see him again? I want my shippy moments. Even turtle-dude Motoki is nowhere in sight. Both males are on the geeky side but they are quite interesting to watch.
