Yumeria: Episode 06

No dreamland for Mikuri and the girls, but they did go to a dream-like setting, a summer festival. Naturally, they all had to wear traditional clothing.

We catch a glimpse of Nanase and Mikuri in their younger years. Nanase carried such a huge task as a young girl and took care of the orphaned Mikuri. Kuyo seems to imply that her sister has stronger feeling other than sisterly love for Mikuri but I do have some doubts. I’m sure she loves Mikuri and all that but more she kept emphasizing the need to protect him. Maybe later on, we’ll learn about her extreme protectiveness for him. The bond shared between Mikuri and Nanase makes Mizuki somewhat envious, not in a mean way but more like a wistful manner. Of course, even though Mikuri is very affectionate towards Nanase, his feelings for Mizuki seems to be quite different.

Hints for the continuing arc are found in mini doses throughout the episode. A man in black limo follows the happy group as they walk to the festival grounds. Little Mikuri holding a doll dressed in an outfit identical to Silk was shown. And for a moment, Neneko emanates a menacing aura.

I am way behind with this series. Gone are the times where I’m holding an anime marathon. Need to make time for this. Grrr…Argh.
