Gantz: Episode 06

After watching each episode of this show, I feel like I inhaled something inappropriate. It gets weirder and weirder yet I’m still liking it.

Although gruesome situations are presented left and right, I could not help but focus on Masaru’s grandmother. She needs to jailed for the emotional and physical abuse she keeps on repeating to both Masaru and his brother. Her motivation behind this uncaring attitude has yet to be explained. We’ll probably find out more about the situation later on.

In this episode, Masaru finally defended his brother and himself. He speaks to his guardian in a very controlled voice that she has to refrain from hitting his brother ever again. Obviously, he has the advantage in terms of size and strength. Of course, he tries not to use this against her. However, all his anger that has been bottling up has to be released somewhere. Coincidentally, a group of school bullies wanted to teach him a lesson. Little did they know that his inner rage is dying to come out. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

I know I should pity Kishimoto but I can’t help it if she irritates me. I mean, a pet? Argh, this chick needs psychiatric help. Kurono being a horny teenager that he is, can’t help but be manipulated by her.

Hopefully the next episode will take place in Gantz. I’m dying to see more interaction between Nishi and the other three characters.
