Kenran: Episode 08

How can I not enjoy this episode? The ridiculous pseudo-dancing between Anna and Elisabeth alone is enough to satisfy the funnies for the day.

The plot thickens. Or rather, the plot goes crazier. I enjoy the fact that this show does not take itself seriously. The semi-villains aren’t all that evil but only very human. Poe and Anna wanted to use Enora as a political tool. Kubernes seems to be quite money hungry. Vess is plain confused and her boss is too carefree. BTW, Vess without her usual cone-shaped hairstyle IS so much better.

It seems the main mystery revolves around the Grahm’s pendant. Judging by Kubernes’ actions alone, the pendant is quite a valuable find. He even went as far as trying to sink a passenger-filled ship as a blackmail. Ridiculous as this sounds, I was half-expecting someone to say, “I don’t negotiate with terrorists.” or something to that nature. Yes, it sounds stupid. And no, I’m not kidding. ^^
