Naruto: Episode 84

Due to Sasuke’s brash attitude, I never really cared for this character. However, watching this episode reminded me he went through a terrible ordeal that can break a person’s will. Indeed, his personality change is more than reasonable.

Who would’ve thought that this aloof individual was once a sweet, innocent, and adorable kid whom idolizes his brother. If weren’t for Itachi’s treachery, Sasuke would’ve stayed as a cheerful and affectionate kid. Unfortunately, Itachi went loco, massacred his entire kinsmen, and left only one survivor, his brother Sasuke. The more frightening aspect of the murder is the motive of this killer. He simply wanted to test his strength and skill, hence the killing spree. I want to know the process how his mind works while reaching to this horrific conclusion.

I could not believe that I yelled at my screen and cheered for Sasuke to beat the hell out of Itachi. Like I said, I am not too fond of the kid but his brother seriously needs to atone for his sins. A little black and blue will go well with his pwetty eyes. Unfortunately, Itachi’s skills are nowhere near Sasuke’s. Remember, Orochimaru fears him and Kakashi was effortlessly defeated by him. Do the math.

While Sasuke was powerless to Itachi, Naruto’s chakra was drained by Itachi’s partner. Poor kids. This is definitely a totally different ballgame. Thankfully, Jiraiya appeared just in the nick of time.

Next episode will feature more brotherly love and affection. Hmph, honestly, I’m not too thrilled with this fight inside the inn. Can we fast forward this chapter a little bit? I’d rather see Jiraiya-Naruto camaraderie. I really want to see the animation of Naruto learning a cool technique.

Pure speculation again. Sasuke never saw the actual murders. He was able to relive the horrors only when Itachi showed him the events using the sharingan. But, what if Itachi was not the person responsible for the evils act but another individual? Is it possible that he saw the killer yet was too powerless to stop him that blamed himself and ended going psycho? Heh, a little bit far-fetched? Fanfic, here I come.
