Shura no Toki: Episode 07

Another surprising episode for Syuratoki. The deciding battle between Yakumo and Musashi began and ended in a flash. Each movement of the fighters were calculated and designed to kill or at critically injure the opponent.
Musashi although known for his nintoryuu (sp?) sword technique has never been seen using the said skill until now. To make the long story short, Yakumo won the round but considered the duel a draw. He pointed out that the Mutsu technique only requires the human body as weapons. However, at one point he was forced to defend himself with his blade. So technically, Mutsu was defeated. Or something like that.
The animation is still crappy but managed to surprise me with the vacuum-something technique (sorry, I’m bad with remembering names). Unfortunately, it wasn’t explained how he did it.
What perked me up the most is the change of direction near the end of the series. Twenty years passed after the Musashi-Yakumo confrontation. Musashi is a respected Lord who adopted the lad Iori who seem to inherit Musashi’s capabilities as a swordsman. Also, Iori seem to hold a certain grudge against Yakumo or more likely to the Mutsu technique. Upon hearing about a tournament of sorts, he was more than willing to heed to Musashi’s request for him to join.
My impressions are slightly raised a bit but it still not a series I can get excited about.
