Aishiteru ze, Baby: Episode 10

Kippei is in for major heartbreak, I think. He may act goofy most of the time but his feelings for Kokoro is different from all the other girls he dated before. Although Kokoro doesn’t seem to mind the physical aspect of dating Kippei, she’ll probably have a hard time emotionally opening up to him. Ahh, teen angst. Meh, looking forward to it.

While Kippei’s thoughts are filled with Kokoro, Yuzu predictably feels neglected and abandoned. Since she stayed with the Katakuras, she had Kippei’s undivided attention until recently. With her abandonment issues, she felt like a fifth wheel. Poor thing. Hopefully, this jealousy thing would be resolved next episode.

I can see this series ending at thirteen eps but stretching the show to twenty four or twenty six episodes could be too long. Unless they shift the storyline from Kippei and Yuzu to Kippei and Kokoro. Of course, Yuzu’s mom taking her back could be a mini-arc too. Okay, there are endless possibilities but I’m worried about maintaining this refreshing atmosphere in a longer season.
