HxH GI Final: Episode 08

Episode eight concludes the nen-enhanced volleyball game between Razor and Gon-tachi. Because of the use of strong auras used in this match, severe injuries ranging from fractured fingers to bruised ribs were normal occurrences. Amongst the significant players, only Biske was able to finish unharmed unless one counts her torn skirt.

Wouldn’t it be great if Biske showed off her true form during the tournament? Razor’s skill is probably no match to her in her best form. Heh, she’s probably too vain to even contemplate on it.

I’m a little disappointed to see the much awaited scene almost hidden from the bright light. Gon’s ideas are usually effective if not a tad bizarre. Uniting his aura with Killua and Hisoka was enough to catch Razor’s service ball.

Although Gon’s attack was very powerful, it wasn’t enough to finish off the game. To completely crush Razor’s game, Hisoka used his gum aura thing-y like a slingshot forcing Razor off the court. Yay, great teamwork for Gon’s group. Even Hisoka remarked on everyone’s effort on a job well done which frankly does not go with his personality. *lol*

After a brief chitchat with Razor about his father and acquiring the special card, Gon and company leaves the village. However, as soon as they step out of the area, Gensura contacted Tzesugera. So the threat continues.

I’m looking forward to second half of this arc. I enjoyed this arc in the manga but I can’t really say the same with the chimeras. It’s probably just me but I hate to say this, it felt a little boring. I haven’t read any new chapters for months now so I can’t really say if it’s true for the current ones.
