Midori no Hibi: Episode 10

My Midori-annoyance factor hit an all-time high. For some reason, she makes my blood boil with rage. Out of all the significant characters which appeared in this series, she remains my least favorite. Heh, I imagine a few people raising their eyebrows just about now.
I suppose, her extreme characterization bugs me too much. She acted cheerfully and carefree once she magically attached herself to Seiji to the point where her perkiness can drive a sane person mad. But in the real world, she remained a shy and timid girl who was afraid of her own shadow. Frankly, I find these extremely irritating.
Even with my usual nitpicks, I find this episode better than usual. The first half featured funny bits from Takako and Seiji, while the other half focused on Midori’s background. Kouta, Midori’s childhood friend, seems to be a very pleasant young lad who harbors a secret infatuation to the oblivious Midori. He begged for Seiji to visit Midori’s unconscious body for he somewhat thinks Seiji is the key to awaken Midori. Unfortunately, Midori disuades Seiji from making an appearance to the Karagano’s household.
Her refusal to become normal again is one of the many reasons why I am immensely against her character from pairing up with Seiji. Anyone with a pair of eyeballs can see the Seiji and Takako are meant to be together. Okay, that’s just plain ’shipping. But seriously, have I mentioned how much I dislike Midori?
