Midori no Hibi: Episode 12

Awwww…Ayase made her big confession. Unfortunately, she’s not the heroine of the series, so she only has about less than a percent chance of living happily ever after with Seiji. I’m depressed.
As far as the main plot went, the inevitable separation of Seiji and Midori has come to pass. Midori finally took the courage and face the facts. Living as a right hand of another person not only limits both of them, it also creates unnecessary worries to friends and family. Becoming Seiji’s right hand to Midori was a kind of freedom she never enjoyed as big Midori. By staying at as her miniature self, she was able to be close to her crush and also run away from all her worries. In the end, Kouta’s accidental discovery of her situation made her realize the unintentional selfishness on her actions.
Meanwhile, Seiji is back to his old ways. Without having Midori as his conscience, he ditches school, gleefully bought adult materials *snicker*, and fought against other delinquents. Think a lighter version of HYD’s Doumyouji without Makino. And to finish off his first day without Midori, Ayase confesses her love to him. His reaction is worth the wait.
From what I’ve heard, the manga hasn’t finished yet. How the animators are going to wrap up the series and fix plot holes remains a mystery.
