Naruto: Episode 88

Like I mentioned before, I am sucker for training episodes. So predictably, I enjoyed this one.

Naruto’s improvements on his skills are quite remarkable. Instead of relying on a borrowed chakra from the fox demon, Naruto continues to strive hard. My only complaint with his training, he should’ve brought an empty bag for the deflated balls. I know it’s only anime but littering is not acceptable. ^^

I can’t wait to see the sort-of mastered Rasengan. Chidori may have the crackling electricity effect going on, but Rasengan totally owns. If Sasuke weren’t such a jerk, I’d probably be saying the opposite.

Objectively watching this arc wouldn’t quite work for me since this is my favorite arc in the series. Come on, the inevitable reunion of the legendary sannin, the quirky Jiraiya-Naruto master-student relationship, Naruto’s new technique, Tsunade’s gambling problems, etc., it’s all worthwhile entertainment.
