Fullmetal Alchemist: Episode 37

Thank you very much. A break from all the angst is very much welcome to this audience member. That and I just finished rewatching Casablanca and I need some comedy to calm me down. But I digress.

Nothing really happens in this episode other than the comedic antics by Mustang’s subordinates. A secret investigation that goes nowhere, a ghost story, and um, a suggestive scene from Riza mostly filled the entire half hour.

Although ninety-five percent of the episode were made for laughs, there were some significant movement in the major storyline. It seems that Mustang and Armstrong were one step ahead of the manipulative Archer. Technically, Armstrong is a directly under Archer however, loyalties are a different matter.

I’m really seriously starting to doubt the Fuhrer. I can’t believe he’d allow Tucker and Kimbley back into the government when they were supposed to be imprisoned and punished for their crimes. Is he the seventh sin? Or another entity controlling the homunculi? Whatever he is, he sure knows more a lot than he wants to share.

BTW, I enjoyed Riza’s opening narration in place of Al’s usual voice-over. I’m assuming the original will be back the next episode.

Oh, and Mustang is such a playah.
