Maro-sama is a freakin’ riot. Okay, let’s drop the sama honorific. At one moment he trembles as he recounts his encounter with samurai, then lovingly thinks of Kirara the next moment. Weird guy. I like him. His character design and personality somewhat reminds me of Last Exile’s Dio.

Kanbei finally accepts the mission to wage war against the no-buseri. However, he alone cannot defeat these giant robots. He needs six more nakama to work with. Enter Katayama Gorobei. Now, this dude has some messed up fetishes. I mean, seriously. But he has a nose of a bloodhound and mad skills. As most viewers have noted, he nails down a matrix move. I’m impressed. (I’m easy to please.)
