Samurai 7: Episode 06

I’m utterly captivated with this series. Nice blend of advancing the storyline while adding a mix of action sequences.

Due to the so-called evidence of the slaying of the Imperial Messenger, samurais were cast as suspects. The murder was probably designed to frame one of these samurais.

Because of certain assumptions I made beforehand, I am not buying that supposed demise of Kikuchiyo. Hopefully we’ll see him soon alive and well. He’s loud, rude, and not exactly a rocket scientist but he can bring in a few chuckles.

Speaking of chuckles, this series has an odd sense of humor which pops up in unexpected places. While it’s not laugh out loud funny, it makes one smile and take notice. Well, some even has a somewhat shock value (I can’t take the “I’m in-love…” bit out of my mind).

The preview offered a glimpse of our seventh samurai. He seems to be on the serious side. I wonder how long the wait will be before the next release.
