Manga: One Piece ch322

OMFG! The current storyline could be one of the best but also one of the most painful to read. Those who hate spoilers, just look away.

The fun-loving crew has its first serious team crisis. Most of their money was stolen. Going Merry needs to be replaced. And after Luffy informed Ussop of the decision he made regarding GM, Ussop lost his temper and challenged Luffy to a duel.

Ussop’s dissatisfaction with himself is at its bursting point. He feels that he is the least capable member of the group. Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, and Nico are all freakishly strong fighters. Chopper is a world-class doctor and Nami is an exceptional navigator. Sure, Ussop is the ship’s sharp shooter and handyman. However, he probably thinks this is not enough. The news about GM only served as a reason to fully express his anger and rage.

What Ussop does not realize, his contributions are immensely important. Along with his wits, he was able to defeat quite a few foes in the past. His physical strength may be lacking but he is capable in other areas.

I’ve been hearing rumors about Oda-sensei’s plans to write out a crew member. Because of the current difficulties at hand, the storyline is pointing toward either Ussop or Nico Robin. Even with my indifference with Ussop, he a very significant character to give up on. With his connection to Yassop and Shanks, it does not feel right for him to leave the crew.

On the other hand, Nico Robin, the newest member onboard, has yet to earn everyone’s trust (I think it’s only Luffy who fully trusts her). But when you think about the details of the previous arcs, she intends to sail towards the end of Grand Line. Her knowledge is essential to the journey.

So who would be kicked out? Hmmm…tough call. Either way, it’s going to be bad. Now, there’s another crew member we can consider. Basically, we were told that she is on the verge of falling apart. Another trip could mean disaster. Going Merry needs her rest now and Luffy has to be decisive on this. Unless, of course, they were told an enormous lie which would lead us back to square one.

Heh, I only confused myself.
