Naruto: Episode 96

/
My neighbors could be calling the police right now because of excessive noise coming from my apartment. I can’t help it. Oro needs major butt kicking. BTW, I thought Tsunade only hit him with only one punch in the manga to knock him out (I can’t remember the details). While I’m relishing Oro’s suffering, wouldn’t one blow emphasize Tsunade’s insane strength instead of knocking him around more than a few times?

Naruto’s show of courage and strength snapped out Tsunade’s decades long self-doubt and fear. She faces her future and her long-forgotten dream to serve and protect her village, Konoha. On top of that, she acknowledges Naruto as a future Hokage. Was her acceptance a kiss of death? Or the third time’s a charm?

As expected, the legendary sannins did not fail the audiences. Compared to the Gennins or dare I say Junnins, their capabilities are an entire league altogether. If the unexpected reunion was filled with handicap, fighting at full strength would be an amazing sight.

Excellent episode except for minor nitpick with the inconsistent animation. I’m smelling filler episodes on our way to give time for the manga to advance.

Oh, no! Uber-angsty Sasuke will be featured soon. At least, I’ll be seeing Shika and Lee again. Ahhh, I still can’t be consoled.
