Samurai 7: Episode 08

More angst coming our way through Rikichi’s surprising outburst. His reasons for accompanying Kirara and Komachi to find samurais aren’t for the sake of the villagers alone. He burdened himself with guilt for fearing the No-buseri who mercilessly took his wife, Sanae.

Upon hearing the sad tale, Kikuchiyo decides upon himself to avenge Rikichi and face the bandits which appeared in front of them. Whilst tracking down the giant mecha, he encounters a couple of familiar faces. Unfortunately, they’re unfriendly ones.

Very good development, storywise, and the animation comes back to normal. Stopping over a feared place suddenly becomes an essential catalyst for plot advancement, character development, and mysteries.
