Samurai Champloo: Episode 06

Loaded with indifference, I was set watching this episode of Samurai Champloo expecting boredom. And I’m surprised to find the our guest star quite the hilarious Dutch man. I may never recover from the eating contest (which made me feel sick just by watching the contestants binge), but I’ll live.

The bit of clueage hinted to Fuu may unexpectedly advance the storyline. Her search for the sunflower-smelling samurai linked with a tiny token presumably from her past could take a dangerous turn. The reckless actions of Mugen would probably double the trouble.

Jin delivered unusually funny lines. His trademark stoicism even helped with the particular scenes. I like his odd sense of humor.

Although I aptly appreciate this particular episode, this series is still designated on my only-watching-when-I’m-bored list.
