Naruto: Episode 100

At long last, we’ve come to episode one-oh-oh of Naruto. But wait. We only caught a glimpse of the most loud-mouthed ninja of Konoha. How so? The episode centered on our lovable but worst-dressed gennin, Lee, and the fifth’s search for upping his surgery survival percentages.

Don’t get me wrong, next to Shika, Lee’s the man. However, I would’ve enjoyed something revolving around Naruto for the one hundredth episode. Come on, they named the series after him. At least, the theme for the day is basically what Naruto stands for. Other than this minor nitpick, the Gai-Lee interaction brightened up my mood. While depressing moments were inevitable, it ended on a very happy note.

The next episode should be fun. I think it’s lifted from one of the omake or something. Correct me if I’m wrong. I’m relieved that our main gennin team is still a team. Hilarious bits should be expected.
