One Piece: Episode 110

Hah, Luffy vs Crocodile. Round one. And the winner is… Um, look at the screencaps and that may give you an idea.
After Smoker let Luffy-tachi escape, our favorite pirates tried to flee Rainbase with the help of another of Chopper’s (supposedly perverted) acquaintance. However, Crocodile intervened and grabbed Vivi from behind. Luffy acted swiftly and let himself be captured instead of Hime-sama. And so the fun begins.
This episode reinforced to the audience that Luffy’s crew members indeed acknowledges Luffy’s decisions. Even though it pained them to leave their captain, one word from Luffy sent them straight back to their mission. Now, Luffy has to face this monster by himself. I mentioned this before and I’ll repeat it once again, serious Luffy equals great monologue. Although he acts goofy and what-not, he’s quite perceptive, in this instance, his description of Vivi was right on the mark. Hehe, calling Luffy a perceptive person sounds weird.
Argh, this one of those moments when I wish I had never spoiled myself rotten reading the manga.
