Random Monday bits

Argh, why do I have to work at another holiday? If someone messes up my Thanksgiving and Christmas schedule, I’m going to hurt somebody. And I don’t mean figuratively. Someone get me out of the health care industry. I need a career change with normal hours, darnit.

Earlier, I realize how much spending time with anime and manga has affected how I think of the word baka. I spotted a friend around the Rice Village and decided to interupt her lunch. Her meal smelled appetizing so I asked her what it was, to which she responded, “Baka”. I was a little bit surprised and asked her a couple more times. Of course, she answered the same thing. At the moment she looked at me questioningly, it finally dawned on me what she meant. She meant it was beef. FYI, baka is also Tagalog word for beef or cow. Of course, I had to explain to her that I thought she was calling me stupid which was a little right on the mark, actually.

Hehe, I’m losing my head.
