Samurai 7: Episode 10

Not as action-packed as the last episode but it kept me howling with laughter the rest of the show.

Our travelers agreed to break up into three parties and to meet at a designated place, Wing Point, to prevent further suspicion from the no-buseri. All players safely arrived at Wing Point but not without interesting mishaps along the way. Kirara found herself teamed up with Shichiroji and to her dismay, Kyuuzou. She frankly showed her I-hate-his-guts attitude to the mysterious samurai only to be save by him later on. As a form of an apology, she mended Kyuuzou’s torn coat. Will this lead to Kirara liking Kyuuzou romantically speaking? I don’t see Kyuuzou having such thoughts in his mind. Ah…no spoilers please.

While the priestess and her companions were busy with some no-buseri, Komachi and Kikuchiyo teased Katsushiro mercilessly regarding his love life (or lack thereof) and possibly annoyed Kanbei with their endless chatter. Hehe, poor Katsushiro, the Komachi-Kikuchiyo act couldn’t be beaten.

Last but certainly not the least, our third group consisting of Gorobei, Heihachi, and the unfortunate Rikichi arrived at Wing Point, err, fashionably (more like horribly) dressed. Knowing Gorobei’s twisted brain, he opted to travel in an unconventional way. He found an enthusiastic partner in Heihachi who gleefully followed his plan. And Rikichi, well, he had no choice. Too bad, waxing wasn’t all the rage in this setting because Gorobei would’ve been enjoyed it.
