One Piece: Episode 113

Quick successive releases this month? I’m downloading ep 114 as I type. We, leechers, may get even more spoiled. Maybe I ought to to fix myself a ‘I < 3 K-F’ shirt. *grin*

With hopes to confuse Baroque Works’ agents, the Straw Hat crew entered the city through different routes. In tradition to tournament-like match ups, each team member has a designated opponent to fight: Sanji vs Mr. 2, Zoro vs Mr. 1, Nami vs Ms. Doublefinger, and Ussop-Chopper pair vs Mr. 4&Ms. Merry Christmas. And round one starts with Ussop and Chopper.

It’s very unusual for me dislike any character in OP but Ms. Merry Christmas annoys the heck out of me. She nags like no tomorrow and no one seems to be brave enough to tell make her shut up. Seriously, I know her character is written that way but her voice is comparable to nails grating over a chalkboard. Ugh. /end rant.

Aside from the irksome Ms. Merry Christmas, the episode is golden. Correct me if I’m wrong, but facing these BW agents is probably Chopper’s first ‘major’ battle outside Drum Island. Let’s see how he and Ussop would survive the baseball menace. (Speaking of baseball, one more win for the Astros…)

BTW, is Lasso a pun for Lassy? Mr. 4’s manner of speech tends to prolong his words and the way he pronounces Lasso seems to sound like Lassy. Maybe not.
