Kdrama Musings: Attic Cat

Has anyone seen the kdrama Attic Cat? Man, I hated how it ended. To those who haven’t seen it and plans to watch it, this post is quite spoilery.

The premise is quite simple. Scruffy girl likes troublesome-boy but boy likes her ‘friend’. The ‘friend’ is in-love wiith this nice, rich guy who falls for girl. Yep, that’s you’re typical soap opera.

Anyhow, I usually root for whomever thrown my way but unfortunately, the male lead’s character is simply a jerk and a playah-type. In contrast to the preppy guy who clearly makes girl happy, scruffy guy only brings her tears. I mean, why the heck did she choose him over preppy? And why does it always end this way in this type of drama? It’s not because the preppy guy’s better-looking, rich, and what-not but it’s the way he treats the girl he loves. It should’ve been an easy choice. /end of mini-rant
