Otogizoushi: Episode 14

The Tokyo arc opens to Hikaru and Tsuna being chased by the Tsuchigumo gang. As soon as the duo escapes via a motorbike, their pursuers mysteriously vanishes into thin air. And thus begin their new adventures.

The episode basically reintroduces familiar faces garbed in modern clothes. A slacker-type Tsuna replaces the overtly serious personality. Who would’ve thought I’d be lusting crushing on the much improved Tsuna-in-a-tight-fitting-shirt? Yum. Not to be outdone, modern Hikaru is a blend of femininity, grace, and athleticism. One word: H-A-W-T. Sadamitsu still has the playah-attitude. My advise to Sadamitsu: fire his stylist. The long hair suits him well but the clothes… Heaven forbid. Living with this fashion victim is Kintarou. Are they brothers or something? Someone please enlighten me. And to complete the quintet comes the fortune teller Urabe. I might add that she looks quite rather decent than from the previews. These five individuals all live under one roof where Hikaru serves as the landlady.

Aside from the core group, we get a glimpse of Raikou, Hikaru’s brother. His sudden disappearance a year ago triggers the succeeding events. This time around, Hikaru’s primary goal is to locate her brother at any cost. It seems that pictures of mysterious trains will be the items which Hikaru & company need to collect in order to obtain information regarding Raikou.

And last but definitely not the least, the episode also features a man in black coat. Can you just hear the screams of fangirls (including moi) around the world drooling over this magnificent specimen? He still plays that mysterious-aspect card. And boy, he plays his cards very well. In case you haven’t guessed whom I’m speaking of, it is none other than our resident bishie Mansairaku.

The regular viewers and fans alike are treated with a whole new set of OP/ED theme. The ED theme goes cold only after a few playings but I still like those lovely images accompanying the music. I want a wallpaper out of those. As opposed to my reaction to the ED, I’m completely smitten with the OP after replaying it a a number of times. Go figure.
