Beck: Episode 09

Quirky Saitou-san sporting his trunks does not come as a surprise, but for Maho to be in her swim wear makes no sense at all. Oh wait, this is an anime.

Hyoudou’s plan to humiliate Koyuki in front of the entire school backfires. Instead of performing poorly at the swimming tournament, he ranks amongst the top spot in every meet he participates in. And to finish off the event, he manages to secure the first place of the most prestigious meet of the day. As a result, he earns the respect of his classmates who used to ostracize him.

Meanwhile, BECK’s current drummer quits putting the band on a limbo. So once Ryuusuke realizes the abilities of Sakurai, he immediately recruits him as a support member, in addition to Koyuki.

Interesting developments so far. I can’t wait till BECK begins to sound like a *real* band.
