Ah! My Goddess: Episode 01

Hmmm…I never been a big fan of AMG but I’m semi-interested with the TV adaptation. It’s been awhile but I think I only seen a couple eps of the OAV plus the movie. So I sort-of know the basic premise.

For me, the highlight of the pilot is the opening theme. I instantly fell in-love with the track. It is very whimsical and has some kind of Celtic feel. On top of that, it has splendid vocal arrangement. Lovely, indeed. The background is fairly decent with the exception of few impressive bars towards the end. As for the ED, I’ll probably warm up to it eventually.

Honestly, I can’t say if I’m *truly* interested with the episode or I’m just nosy onlooker with this adaptation. Either way, if it proves to be an entertaining re-telling, the initial reason for watching will not matter. Right?

This might sound weird but viewing the first episode almost takes me back to the nineties. Maybe the character designs are somewhat responsible for it. Or is it because it’s a relatively old title? Strange.
