Fullmetal Alchemist: Movie Trailer

Whew. What a nice surprise for the New Year to see a snippet of the Hagaren movie trailer. Judging by the clip, it’s not going to be a rehash of the entire series.

Although the series is a slow starter, it gradually build up into a captivating and compelling storyline. The most surprising part of it, even with its deviation from the manga, the writers successfully weave a tapestry of intricate subplots. Of course, the finale is not without flaws but I’m interested on how the movie will explain some of the disparities and plot holes. Even with its minor mishaps, this title will remain one of my all-time favorites.

As for the movie, the fans cannot help but have high expectations for both the animation and writing (with emphasis on the writing). But if we leave this to the capable hands of the same writers from the TV series, I’m fairly optimistic with the outcome.

I really can’t wait for the movie.
