Major: Episode 02

Because of its nature and inherent style, Major can be easily pegged as a juevenile and lackluster series. While the supposed mature audiences would shy away from the title, those who enjoy underdog stories and new beginnings might like this title and give it a try. True, two episodes alone are not enough to judge the clear cut direction of the series yet it truly brims with potential. Not to be mistaken, this is obviously aimed at children but older fans of the genre should definitely give this a try.

I enjoy the continuing parallel of Goro and his father’s ambition to play for the big leagues. Goro, a young lad with full potential, has only started his dream while Honda, his dad, is at his last chance fulfil his goal. Of course, the foundation is simplistic on the outset but I suppose that’s the big draw for me.

Another character is introduced in the program. A young, studious kid whom Goro befriends through baseball. He’s the first one to fill up the future Goro team, I guess.
