Music: (February) JJ Lin ~ Haven~

I can’t say that I’m very impressed with JJ Lin’s sophomore effort. I may say that but I’ve been listening to this CD repeatedly. Hehe. But seriously, I think he has the ability to pull off more difficult songs yet he seems to be trying to play it safes. For example, Angel (track 8) could’ve been potent to showcase powerful range. Alas, he sticks with the easier route. Argh. Anyhow, it’s decent album with a mix of ballads and fast songs. Of course, I like the slow songs especially Distance and River South.

I still have high hopes for this dude. Maybe his third album, he might try taking a little risk.
