One Piece: Episode 127

Excellent follow-up to the previous episode’s climactic moments. It basically ties up the loose ends.

- Igaram returns from the dead and reveals to the masses Crocodile’s treacherous plans.
- Vivi reunites with her father and faces the people.
- Tashigi locks up Crocodile and his cohorts and lets the Straw Hat crew escape.
- The government ignores Luffy&co’s efforts and decides to award Smoker and Tashigi instead.

One of the arc’s best scenes comes from this episode where Tashigi reports back to the marine’s ship and discusses ‘justice’ with Smoker. It somehow manages to sound unpretentious even with the subject matter. As for the best line in the entire arc, it definitely goes to Smoker. Upon hearing the hypocrisy of his colleagues, he utters the words that the audiences would’ve wanted to say to those high-ranking government officials. Priceless.

Slightly off-topic. It’s really weird when Dythim (of Kaizoku-fansubs) isn’t the one announcing the release on their site. He/she always have something witty to say on each entry. >_ <
