Otogizoushi: Episode 24

The antepenultimate episode might not be exactly a master piece nor close to be even called great television yet Hikaru receiving a much needed wake-up call (ahh, I’m so tactful. :p) from Mansairaku is worth waiting for. Seriously, valid as her reasons might be, her hysterics almost ruined my enjoyment. If she had mustered an ounce of bravado she shown in previous chapters, she’d be golden.

The Tokyo chapter ends. Hikaru completes the fire magatama with her broken fragment. She and Raikou returns to their era. The flow of time normalizes. And Mansairaku finds his peace.

I thoroughly enjoyed the episode. I really do. However, one can see a million of plot holes a mile away which dampens the mood. I don’t even know where to start. Granted, two installments remain which might enlighten avid viewers. So for now, I’ll keep things, um, somewhat positive and hope for the best.
