Preventive measures
As if to dampen my enthusiasm for the significant increase of visitors in the recent months, unwanted spam has wormed its way to the site’s older archives. Completely unarmed with alternative solutions (other that scrapping the entire comment section), one has to go through the tedious and laborious task of manual deletion. Fortunately, BackBlog, which hosts my feedback entries, heeded the pleas of its loyal subscribers and added anti-spam measures to their system.
In order to ascertain the ‘validity’ of the comments on the site, I’ve implemented one backblog’s newest features, captcha. Most of you will probably be familiar with this method. Those leaving feedbacks, messages, or comments will have to type in the combination of numbers which appears in an accompanying text image (similar to the image shown below) before pressing the Save button.

I apologize for the potential inconvenience this may cause to regular and first-time visitors but this blogger has to fight spam somehow.
