Sukisyo: Episode 01

Truth be told, I watched the episode without any hint of expectations. I did not realize that it’s a bombardment of BL. Even from the very first frame, the blatant fanservice fills the screen. My reaction: Shocked yet intrigued. *ahem* With the scarcity of representation from this genre in the recent seasons (so it seems), one can almost imagine fangirls sighing with relief. The hordes of bishounen - and we have at least eight to choose from - should be a welcome addition to the fandom. *grins*

Oh, the plot? Does it really matter at this point? But seriously, the series itself seems to be a mix of a drama and comedy. There are lots of hilarious SD moments and hints of a dark storyline which might prove to be interesting later on. Regarding the animation, it has its moments but numerous scenes are quite uneven. I’m not really nitpicky on this area but some angles looked amateurish and awful. And to think this is the first episode.

BTW, the episode can be educational too. Using scientific methods, one can serve delicious ramen.
