Tactics: Episode 11

As predicted, Miyabi and Mai’s attempts to seduce Haruka and Kantarou failed miserably. While the twins’ behavior were similar, their reasons are anything but. Miyabi who mistaken Haruka’s kindness for affection had pure intentions while Mai’s purpose is part of a more sinister scheme. In Mai’s confused and troubled mind, human sacrifice is needed to free her sister from fate. As it turns out, she is behind the series of mysterious murders in the village.

The two-parter ends in an unexpectedly powerful note. One twin faces death with a pure smile, while another lives on filled with hatred and shadows.

This mini-arc delivers good stuff for its audiences. We catch a glimpse of the inner workings of Kantarou’s mind. In order to help an individual get past hurdles, he allows others to bear grudge on him even though it may haunt him later in the future. His skillful lies are not part of a grandiose dark scheme. Instead, it is his own way of helping out others in need of a push. While his decisions might not be the best choice in the long run, these actions are simply motivated out of kindness and sympathy.

Um, what’s up with the vine thing-y? (Argh, I can’t help it. I have a filthy mind.) :p
