Tactics: Episode 13

Tactics takes a darker turn. From from its usual bright and cheery stand-alone storylines, Kantarou and Haruka faces a strong opponent linked to the previous eps antagonist. As it turns out, Minamoto Raikou heads the hunt for Haruka’s head. His act seems villainous and his purpose is to defeat Haruka. He mentions the unsuccessful attacks of his ancestors against Haruka which suggests that this ties with the tengu life prior to being sealed. With a whole season ahead of us, the exploration of this background is highly possible.

Forgive my nonchalance for the episode. In any given day armed with a clear head, I might’ve been more appreciative for the chapter. Alas, in an attempt to restore a cheerful mood, I mistakenly watched this after marathoning the last three eps of the Kdrama, Love Letter. And to those familiar the series, it’s rife with melodrama. *sigh* Yes, my skewed mindset distracted me from focusing. It didn’t even occur to me why Minamoto Raikou’s name sounded so familiar til I started typing. And here I thought I was a big fan of Otogi. >_ <
