Twin Spica: Episode 18

I finally understand why Marika’s father keeps on comparing her to the ‘real’ Marika. It seems that the pain of losing a child prompted him to choose a procedure still shrouded in numerous of ethical issues. And the result is our current Marika.

What is the limit to one’s selfishness? True, his younger daughter is the splitting image of the older one and the pain can be unbearable. But the moment he decided to undergo with the medical process, it is his responsibility to mentally prepare himself.

With two episodes left to go, I’m deeply saddened that we might not be able to learn other subplots in this quaint title. The series seems to have more stories to tell, including Shu, Fuuchuya, and Kei. Kei and Fuuchuya’s background has not even been touched yet and Shu’s seems rife with angst. One wonders on the current state of the manga.
