Beck: Episode 24

If you think you had avoided any battle sequences while watching this show, think again. The antepenultimate episode lets the audiences experience a fighting scene ala BECK-style. Yup, it’s the battle of the bands. It’s not much of a fight but the set-up is quite familiar.
The third stage is the underdog whom the viewers are supposed to root for. Their goal is to exceed the number of audience members of the first and second stages. And luck seems to be smiling at them. The heavy rain has damaged the second stage’s equipment, leaving the artist huffing and puffing towards his hotel. The first stage where Belle Ame has also been suffering setbacks in addition to their vocalist’s major suckage. Since BECK has been laying strongly (for this world, anyway), the numbers are dwindling in the competing arenas and increasing in BECK’s turf.
BTW, it is I who shall concede this time. Despite Koyuki’s (talentless) performance, the producers manage to create an exciting atmosphere which can possible convince impressionable viewers that the band up the stage are indeed awesome.
Nice episode and excellent cliffhanger. I’m looking forward to the final two installments left.
