Beck: Episode 25

The penultimate episode solidly concludes the Greatful Sound arc and cleverly sets one last twist.

After the BECK’s legendary performance at the music festival, the members of the band are on their separate ways. Ryuusuke has gone missing. Chiba, possibly still ticked off with Ryuusuke, decides to stay away from bands and to work for a ramen restaurant. Taira finds himself working with a new group. And Saku is on his way to another city. It seems as if Koyuki has been left behind. But I’m optimistic that the producers would not end the series on a depressing note.

The final ep might focus on Koyuki being the one who pulls BECK together. And since the final episode is ominously titled America, I can safely assume that the closing ep will touch on the American tour. And with the extensive highlights for that arc, I wonder which scenes it’ll focus on. Being a happily-ever-after type of person, I want to see BECK back together before the series ends.
