Samurai Champloo: Episode 20

Wow, what an excellent episode. The haunting music intricately woven into the narrative replaces the usual pseudo-hiphop sound. Unspoken messages seems to be the key to this storyline. It subtly conveys the emotions and the nuances of the characters instead of partaking an obvious stance.

A mysterious blind musician, Sara, joins the trio as they travel towards sunflower-dude’s last known address At first, her presence seems to be a welcome company. However, the addition of new blood in the cavalry distinctively changes the dynamics between Fuu, Jin, and Mugen. But it does not stop here. Sara, then, requests one of the wandering swordsmen to accompany her during her travels. Jin takes on the task. And as soon as they part with Fuu and Mugen, her intentions are revealed.

Quite a cliffhanger if I say so myself. If things go according to plan, I surmise that the conclusion of this two-parter will leave a strong impression to this viewer.
